THE ROAD TO BAGHDAD THE ROAD TO BAGHDAD is a feature-length screenplay set during the early days of the war in Iraq. Combining the wild and wacky hi-jinks of the classic Hope-Crosby-Lamour road movies with the black humor of Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" and "Dr. Strangelove," this script will crack you up and make you think at the same time with its many pokes at military intelligence, organized religion, celebrity culture and the absurdity of war. The film tells the story of three celebrity impersonators on a U.S.O. tour of Iraq who crashland in the desert. Supporting characters include a mad-dog American general, karaoke-obsessed Shiites, and a Saddam Hussein body double. |
